This one locks my car This closes the gate There’s a copy with the neighbors For the back door just in case I come home at night Maybe had too much to drink Fumbling in the dark, Can't see a damned thing Somebody help me please I got all these keys Is there a reason I should keep them I don't know All they ever do is open To rooms with no one there Where someone should be saying "Welcome home" This antique was my wife's From her grandparent's house Been ages since she used it, It's a souvenir now This key chain, was hers Until she passed away It's like a ring of prayer beads I think over every day Somebody help me please I got all these keys Is there a reason I should keep them I don't know All they ever do is open To rooms with no one there Where someone should be saying Come on in, I never lock the door Wrap your arms around me now, You don't need those keys anymore Somebody help me please I got all these keys Is there a reason I should keep them I don't know All they ever do is open To rooms with no one there Just memories in the air Where someone should be saying "Welcome home"
